Story Mode: Chapters and Progress

Plan a Dungeon Inn campaign around weekly management goals, chapter progress, rival guild timing, and the decisions that protect Sara's inn.

Story Mode turns the inn's daily management into a longer campaign. The complete 1.0 story contains 12 chapters and is listed at about 20 hours. Each week asks you to balance guest traffic, guild orders, income, and the risk of letting rival adventurers cross paths. For the current chapter and feature list, keep the Dungeon Inn community hub available while planning a fresh run.

Set up each week before spending

Start a week by reading every visible objective. Separate tasks that must be completed on a particular day from goals that can progress gradually. Then check the calendar, the expected guests, and the room layout before investing in a new facility. A building that helps one guild can create a problem if the other group needs the same route or arrives at the same time.

Treat the two rival guilds as separate schedules. Watch when each group is expected, keep their paths apart, and use the inn's available tools to reduce the chance of a public clash. A quiet week usually protects both income and reputation better than accepting every possible booking. If a chapter adds a new order or management rule, make room in the plan for that requirement before chasing optional revenue.

Protect the story run from avoidable setbacks

Review the state of the inn at the end of each day. Confirm that the next objective is still reachable, that the guest flow remains manageable, and that the next guild visit will not overlap with a rival. When the week is already in trouble, compare the remaining objective with the time left before making another purchase. Spending more does not repair a missed deadline by itself.

Keep a short note of recurring problems: a guild that reaches the inn too early, a route that repeatedly creates collisions, or an upgrade that arrives too late to help. Use that note to change one decision at the next attempt. Small changes to timing and room placement are easier to evaluate than rebuilding the whole plan at once.

Check chapter and mode names after updates

Early Access discussions may use older chapter counts or mode names. Before following a tip, check that it applies to the installed version and the chapter you are playing. The full story now reaches Chapter 12, so an older stopping point may no longer describe the complete campaign. Keep optional management challenges separate from the main story objectives, and return to the current chapter requirements whenever the run introduces a new rule.
